Happy Birthday to me! I realized that when you get older, birthdays are lame. If you need something yourself you just go buy it. There are no more surprises, just want you asked for.
My birthday was very tame. I had a nanny interview in the morning, then went to my parents house for lunch. We had Fettuccine Alfredo, salad, and bread. Then black forest cake for desert. I got 2 kindle gift cards. Then we watched t.v. til Dan and I left. I did not want to stay and watch the Superbowl.
Dan the butt-head didn't even get me a gift. I told him what I wanted and he said we have no money, so no gift. I was hoping he would surprise me and give me something small, but no, he is so dumb.
And that was it. Uneventful and kind of lame.

Pity Party Weekend :(
I started my very own book blog. I copied from my sister in law. Its not really for anyone but myself to help me keep track of the books I have read and my thoughts on them. That way when I am in a book slump, I can go back and research authors that I like.
Daniel is going ice fishing in 2 weeks. He leaves Saturday morning and comes back late Sunday night. That means that I have to stay at my house with just dogs to keep me company. At night it gets scary because I think every creak means that the boogey man is in my house to kill me. morbid, I know. The plus side is that I get to order my favorite cake and eat most of it. When I told Daniel that I get my cake because he is leaving me by my onesie, he told me I had to save some pieces for him. You know its a good cake when the non sweet tooth member of the family wants some pieces for himself.

I am getting my pity party cake from the some company.
I know that I shouldn't be eating a whole cake by myself just because I am lonely, but my birthday was last weekend and that's my gift to myself. YUM CAKE!!!!!

Alex's 1st Birthday!
On Saturday we went to Alex's party. It was the first time I had ever been to Andy and Lissa's house and it was very cute and homey. When we arrived (we were the last) Daniels mom, Lissa's parents and her brother were already there. We had dinner right away of ham, potatoes, rolls, yams, and blue jello. After lunch we watched Alex open his gifts. It took quite a while because he didn't understand what was happening and only wanted to play with the first gift he opened.
By the time presents were done, Alex was getting fussy. He hadn't had a nap all day. Lissa made some amazing cakes. A small one for Alex and a larger one for the adults. Both had am intricate lion on them (which was the theme of the party) Alex refused to eat any of his cake, and had a melt down. So I took him to the living room and we played til everyone was done eating.
The rest of the time we watched Alex play. There wasn't much talking because nobody knew what to say. Overall it was a cute party and Alex is a very happy child.

Update
Still no job. I did find a family that I want to nanny for, but they wont need me until the weather gets nice (the dad works in construction and owns a company) . I have applied to all the stores and day cares around me and I am getting frustrated.
I really do enjoy not having a set schedule and having to be to work by 8:00. Only problem is I am really starting to see the effects of not having a job. We rarely have any money and when Dan's paycheck comes it disappears for other things that we aren't even saving a cent. I guess its time to start looking at other places.
I like reading and watching movies and building snowmen with my dogs. I like the freedom and having time to do what I want. But I really need a job!!!!

Fall has begun
It is so cold here. Fall has officially started. The leaves have changed colors and it is colder than cold. No more shorts and T-shirts to be found. Oh how I miss you summer. It has been so cold and nasty here that we had to start our first fire.
The one plus of Fall is CIDER MILLS!!!! Today my family all got together and went to the Parshallville Cider Mill. It was cold and rainy but we got cider and doughnuts so it made up for it. Then we all came back to our house to eat and get warm!

We really should have gone to Spicers. Its closer to home and there is more to do there like a corn maze and a huge gift shop. Oh well. There wasn't too many people there and we left fairly quickly because of the rain, so I guess it wants too bad.

Employed at last
I finally have a job!!!! I will be working FULL TIME!!! First ever since working at 16. I will be working at the Learning Tree in South Lyon which is 30 minutes from my house. It is a perfect spot because Dan and I want to live there.
I will be working in the toddler room. It is my first time working with toddlers. I have only worked with preschool. It should be interesting because I dont know as much about them as I do with preschool. Plus they cant do much, so it will keep my days busy and challenging.
Today they sent me to get a physical and a TB test. Naturally I waited an hour and a half, just to see the nurse, who took my vitals (height, weight, eye test, lifting test,) then she gave me the TB test and then the doctor came in and made me retake my blood test because it was too high. I finally left after and hour and a half. After that I had to go to Howell to submit for a background check. If everything pans out by Friday I will start Monday. I hope it does because we are really starting to hurt for money; we currently have none.
I cant wait to get started. Its going to be so fun working with toddlers and the girls I will be working with are really nice and friendly!

UGH
Ok so its been a month since I wrote last. Nothing much happens. I lost my job because one of the mothers convinced the boss to get rid of me. So now I have to get a new job but no one is hiring.
My purse selling is growing! I went to a fair and made $600, then had a purse party on Sunday that made another $300. So that is helping us out lots. I am also getting calls from people who want a party now so business is picking up!
I am on a baby rampage. I want one so bad. I keep trying to convince Dan, but he says we cannot afford it, especially since I don't have a job. I keep hoping to get pregnant one of these days. My mom and my sister keep hasseling me to have one. I guess I could. All I have to do is stop taking my birth control pill, but I don't want to put Dan in a spot where he is going to resent me for it.
The dogs got fleas and our house is covered in them. Dan has bites all over his arms and stomach. He is finally going to the doctor today to see what is wrong. We cleaned the house top to bottom and gave the dogs flea medicine but they are still scratching and Dan's bites keep growing.
