Festive 4th

Happy 4th of July!!!  We celebrated by going over to my parents for my sisters birthday.  We had hamburgers, brats, beans, potato salad, and fruit. After dinner we had ice cream cake and strawberries pie for dessert.

After dinner we sat around the table and talked until the weather became too hot and forced us to go inside.

We played board games until the boys were exhausted, packed up, and came home.

Jake kept interrupting our game by walking through the middle of the game and spreading the pieces everywhere.

Our 4th was very low key and didn't have any fireworks.  The dogs hate the booms, and Dan and I are so tired by the end of the day that we are usually asleep when it gets dark.  I'm sure when the boys are older we will do fireworks and celebrate properly!
