That's right! Crispy M&Ms are back in stores. I loved these when they were available over 10 years ago. I ate nothing but these while dating Dan and ended up losing 15 pounds. I am so glad they are back! They taste exactly how I remember them. Try them if you've never had them!

Reading Challenge 2015
While researching on new books to read, I came across a website that had a 50 book reading challenge. Since my sister in law is a more avid reader than I am, I asked her if she wanted to try to complete it with me. Of course she agreed, because who can turn down reading more books!? I think at least trying this challenge will help both of us branch out and maybe find a new author or genre. When I mentioned it to my sister, she was intrigued and wanted to take part in it also.

A very Jenny Weekend!
I love spending time with my sister. I know I say it every time, but I wish I could see her more. We always have a great time together and can talk about anything. From complaints to exciting news, it's nice to have her there as a listener. She seems to know when to offer advice and other times just let me vent. I can always talk to Dan about things, but he's a dude and doesn't offer much.
Jen came over Friday afternoon and spent the night. Dan was suppose to go Up North with his friends for ice fishing, but since it doesn't get above 20 degrees, he decied to stay home. Jen was going to spend the whole weekend with me but Dan ruined our plans, so I settled for her staying over 1 night.
Since we currently have 1 car, and Jake is too big for is infant car seat, we had to drive in jens car to Dans work and pick up our car. It's roomier and has the right seat for Jake. After we switched cars, we went to a cupcake bakery. I think we got too many cupcakes!
I already has eaten one of mine..
Next stop was to the library so we could get more books and to let Jake play with new things. Jen looked for books while I watched Jake.
After the library we came home to pick up Dan and took a car ride to our favorite party store to eat gyros. They are so delicious and are famous here! By the time we got home everyone was exhausted and we sat on the couch and didn't move for the rest of the night. Even my non cuddling child was in the mood to relax.
Saturday morning we all lazed around. We didn't have any plans so spent the morning reading our books.
When we finally became tired of reading, we went to do some shopping, but it was a bust. There was not one thing we wanted. Because our shopping sucked, we were disappointed and decided to come home. We spent the rest of the day being lazy until Jen left. Thanks for hanging out with us and playing with Jake. He loves you so much!!

Weekend recap
Our weekend was mostly spent indoors. The weather has gone from bad to worse. It snows every night and the temperature doesn't get higher than 15. Jake and Dan did venture outside to play in the snow, but they didn't last long.
While they went out, I made black bottom cupcakes.
By the time I took this picture half of the cupcakes were already gone because Dan loves them.
We spent the rest of Saturday reading and playing video games.
Sunday morning I went shopping to get some alone time. I had fun browsing a couple of stores, but didn't buy anything. I thought Dan and Jake would have some fun dad and son bonding time, but they both took a nap the whole time I was gone, the stinkers.
For the rest of the afternoon we played video games, read, general house clean up and hung out with Jake!
I like these kinds of weekends, where we are together with no agenda. Plus Jake loves hanging out with Dan and I get a little break! Hope your weekend was as good as mine.

Winter has finally come
Holy cow, it is so cold here! I think the highest it got today was 14 degrees. It's so cold, I have to put on Lily's dog sweater.
Don't get me wrong, winter can be such a beautiful season with the snow falling. I just hate how darn cold it gets. As soon as you walk out the door, the cold hits you in the face like a swift punch. It's better to just stay inside.
Jake and I are in our fuzzy pajamas today. We don't plan on going out. Guess we are in for another terrible winter.

Shopping trip
Today my sister came over for a visit and to do some shopping. I never remember to take pictures. I think about doing it, then totally forget.
Our first stop was to the library. Jen uses my card to check out books. It's easier for her to do it this way, instead of going to her library. We haven't had a problem yet, so we will keep sharing. Plus it gives us more bonding time!
Our second and third stop was to Joanns and Michaels. She got me a cute bag, which I am obsessed with and can never have enough, so I wanted to get more. When we found them, it only came in one size. Boo. Jen also wanted to get a cute vase and put rocks and flowers in it.
Our last stop was a quick lunch and then back home. It is so freaking cold out and lugging Jake and all his stuff is a pain, so we were very quick.
Not to worry though, because she is coming over later in the week so I can go to my doctors appointment without taking Jake. And then next weekend we are having a girls vacation because Dan is taking a "mans trip" with his friends.

What a silly boy!!
This little boy is growing by leaps and bounds. It is amazing how much love I feel for this crazy, happy, boy. He is still not talking (I would love to hear momma) but today he waved to Dan! First time I have ever seen him do that. I couldn't be a happier mom! I just hope his brother is as well behaved as he is.............
