Gosh darn teeth

11 months today and teething like crazy!

You wouldn't guess that by this picture but this week has been horrible.  My happy, amazingly great sleeper is now a crying mess.  He wakes up crying multiple times a night and follows me around all day crying.  Currently he is in his crib crying his eyes out, but this mom needs a break.

I hate teething... It's possibly the worst thing as a mother to go through... So far...

Sorry all my posts are so negative, but I am quickly losing my cool.

Jakey and Gavin

My god I love this kid!  He makes me so happy! Though he does get on my nerves and stresses me out, I can't imagine life without him.

In other news, Gavin's therapy hours were bumped from 20 to 35!   Once the company hires another therapist, Gavin will be busy all day. The most I would see him would be between sessions, an hour max. I don't know if the family will still want me to stay, or they might realize I am being paid to play with my own child. I don't know what the future holds, but I am going to take it as it comes and not stress.

Happy Halloween

My sister in law Allison bought Jake a ninja turtle costume and it was awesome!

We had this great plan to take him trick or treating in the wagon at Ben and Allisons house and get lots of cute pictures, but typical Michigan weather sucked.  It was in the 30s and SNOWING! That's right, snowing.  Instead we sat inside, watched Halloween movies, and ate pizza. We left at 7:30 like usual. So overall Jake first Halloween was a bust.  Hope yours was better.

Stress week

This week Gavin's main therapist, who comes everyday for at least 2 hours is on her honeymoon. Her last day was last week Wednesday.  She did manage do get some of her hours covered, but not all of them.  That means I have to keep Gavin entertained all day..........

This is very hard because we have limited  places to play. We have our cozy corner filled with toys but that gets boring real quick.

We also play in his room, but toys are limited. The basement is finished but the mom works down there.  Most of the day Gavin spends his time lying down and grinding his teeth which is a horrible noise. The other part of day, Gavin likes to chew on anything he can find.   We used to go outside to play and go for walks but it's fall so it's rainy and 40 degrees out.

I am so tired telling him to stop putting things in his mouth and to stop making that horrific noise.  Today I have a huge headache from it.

One piece of good news..... My amazing sister inlaw got me a booster seat, so I can now feed Jake at work!!!!!  How awesome and thoughtful is she? Thank you so much Beth!!!
Today's menu was cheese, turkey, strawberries, pears, and fig newtons.

Look at how cute his little feet stick out!

Happy birthday Allison

This weekend we did not move in.  There are still too many little jobs that need to get done.  We did clear out our guest bedroom though.  Instead we celebrated my sister inlaws birthday.

We had chili and cornbread for dinner and a crazy funfetti cake for dessert.

After dinner Allison opened her gifts.  She got winter boots, a couple of cute kitchen knickknacks, gift cards and a photo collage of her and Jake.

By that time Jake was done and had a meltdown, so we left.  Sunday we had family day and were able to do some shopping and spending time together.  Hope you had a great weekend!

Food is delicious!!

I love that my little man eats anything and everything!! Whatever we put in front of him, he eats it all.  Hotdogs, omelets, chili cheese fries, hash browns, Mac and cheese, any fruit, any veggie.  I am so glad I don't have a picky eater, though that might come later......

Here he is, throwing a fit because I am not making breakfast quick enough.

I'm suppose to give him 3 meals a day of solids and I am sure he would do great without a bottle, but at work I don't have the means, time or resources to feed him.  The biggest problem is I have no where for him to sit while he eats.  I have been holding off buying a booster seat, but once he hits a year, he has to stop bottles, leaving only solids.

Happily eating, and yes, he is a lefty like his Aunt Beth!!

Today's breakfast was toast, grapes, puffs, and water.  Yum!
