Sick times

Since the new year, almost all the children have been send home because they are sick. Not anything serious, just running noses and temps. well i knew i was going to get it, it was just a matter of time. So last week I started feeling like crap; tired, sore, exhausted, and a sore throat. It never got any worse, thank goodness, (I am known to get strep). This week Dan is sick and very crabby. He had exactly what I had only his is taking longer to heal. He is so mean and short tempered I cant stand it. He needs to get better fast because I am sick(pun intended) of his crabbiness.

Happy New Year

So I have decided to ring in the New year by going full out. I am going to have the best year. Dan and I are happily married, and have a dog that we love. We are going to work better on saving money and going out less. We also decided to stop buying things we dont need. Good luck to us!

Our New years eve was nice and relaxing. We spent the day together at our house enjoying the holiday and not worring about going places. Around 5 we went to my parents house for our New Years eve tradition. We eat lots of food and play tons of games. We all had a good time playing Apples to Apples, In a pickle and of course, the Wii. We rung in the New Year with Ben and Allisons engagement. Yep thats right, Ben proposed to Allison right as the ball was dropping and she said yes. They wont be married for a while because Ben wants to finish school so he can support her. My family was very happy for them!!!

New Years day we went to the Motorcycle show in Novi. Its basically a bunch of dudes looking at all kinds of motorcycles, atv, and other fun things. Dan loves it. Its like a toy store to him. He gets on all the bikes he likes and pretends to drive them.

After the show we went to Borders for me! Love to read, Dan got to see his bikes, I get to see my wonderland of books! Then back home to relax some more. It was a pretty good New Year. Much better than our hectic Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Oh boy. Christmas with 2 families is a pain. There is no time for Dan and I to be with each other because we are too busy running between 2 families. Christmas eve we had dinner with my mom and dad, then went to service with Dan's family. After service we went to his parents to have cookies and eggnog and play booby trap. We got home and played with Lily for a long time, then finally went to bed.

Christmas day we opened our presents together. I got Dan a motorcycle tire, a toy helicopter and a bunch of little stuff. He got me a GPS and a jewelry box. As soon as we were done, we packed up presents and Lily and made our way to my parents house. We opened our gifts from them and bolted out of there in order to make it on time to Dan's side. We had brunch and then opened more gifts. After opening gifts we had pizza snackers and went back home to unwind before leaving and going back to my parents for dinner. We both fell asleep for 2 hours because we were zonked. We had dinner then played Mario Party 8 with Jenny and Jason, then came back home to bed. It didnt feel like christmas because we spent so much of our time running around. Plus it rained hard all day instead of snowing. Maybe next year we will have Christmas at our house!

Lily

Dan and I have been looking for a dog ever since we got married. We went to the pet expo in Novi and found an amazing dog. It was a mix, very friendly and very cute. We had to fill out this intense paperwork, and then had an interview with the lady in charge of adoptions. She didn't like us and kept telling us we needed certain things in order to adopt the dog. She told us that someone would call us to schdeual a home visit in a couple of weeks. Well no one called us, even after I called and emailed the company. So we knew it was time to look for another dog.

We went to Petsmart's adoptions day a couple of weeks ago and Dan was not comfortable adopting any of the dogs there. So Saturday we decided we would try Petsmart again, and if they didn't have any dogs we liked, we were going to go to the Human Society. We were looking at the dogs and the adoptive lady came over and asked us what type of dog we wanted and hooked us up with Lily right away. This was Lily's first showing, and she was very nervous and shakey. We took her home that day and she was so comfortable in our house that she climbed right up on the couch.

Lily loves to be petted. She will come sit with you on the couch and weasle her way into your lap to make sure you can pet her. She is still skittish, and loud noises scare her, but she is getting better. Dan loves her. He was so excited to get a dog! Plus her name is Lily and that was one of the names I wanted for my future child!

Wow, its been a while. I have just been so busy with being used to married life, and my new job. I got it right after Thanksgiving. I work 35-40 hours a week, which is amazing. I really like it there, much better than my old place. We even get a week off from Christmas eve to January 4th. How awesome is that? We just had our company Christmas party on Monday. All we did was eat food and talk. It was nice. Today we have the Christmas party for the kids. Santa is coming and they are singing songs for him, getting a present and eating. Speaking of Christmas, all my shopping is done. I hope no one expects big gifts. We are poor. I haven't gotten a pay check in over a month because of the way things worked out when I switched jobs, so that's hurting us. I get payed on Friday so lets hope its a big check.

Its been snowing here like crazy. Everyday we get a couple of inches, then it rains and freezes and makes everything icy. The good about the snow is that it makes it feel like Christmas even more. I love Christmas. Its a great time to spend with family and not worry about anything for a day.

Still haven't gotten my wedding pictures. I contacted my photographer and she said they were having problems loading all the pictures on the internet. I cant wait to see them. They better be good!

I am a married women

Wow, finally all that craziness is done with. The wedding was great. I didnt get nervous til 30 seconds before I walked in and only cried a couple of times. I spent most of my time laughing so I wouldn't cry. Ceremony was nice and short, but beautifully done. Then the receiveing line, where it finally hit me and I couldn't stop crying. Then pictures, my parents to get my dress fixed, the off to Crystal Gardens to have more pictures and the reception. We had a photobooth and it was a hit. Everyone wanted to have their picture taken, and told me what a great idea it was. Went to Frankenmuth for our honeymoon and had lots of fun relaxing, and spending lots of money. Came home to eat cake and open presents. Next we spent some of our gift money buying more things for the house. hopefully we will be done spending soon. I love being married. I love spending all my time with Dan and living my life. We are both so happy!

One week to Go!!!!!

My wedding is coming faster than I realized. Next week at this time I will be married and on my honeymoon. I am not nervous, just finding it hard to believe. Everything is done and I stressed out for no reason. Plus I was sick with the flu and strep. I hope I dont get sick from now til Saturday. I have most of my stuff moved to the house. I really dont need to worry about getting everything, because I will be living 15 minutes away, but I want to get moved and not have to worry about it. I will soon be able to start my life with Dan!

I have an interview this Wednesday at Childtime. The lady who left the message said it looks really good. I hope I get it because I have no money now. Dan and I have been busy buying things for our house (spent $200 at Ikea) and now I have nothing left. I hope they offer me more hours and more pay.
