Visit

After I got off from work the other day we all went to my brothers house to hang out.  The boys were weary at first but with all the excitement and newness, they got over it fairly quickly.  We were able to stay later than usual because for once, both boys were behaving so well.

Hopefully the weather gets warmer soon so we can go outside and explore and take the boys to fun places. I know both Allison and I can't wait to take Jake back to the lake we visited last year.

After weeks of 20 degree weather and snow, today was finally a warm enough day to go out and play. We took a walk

I'm glad to had the day off and was able to spend some time outdoors with my family.

Today Cal turned one! 

 I have loved watching this sweet happy boy grow.  I was able to enjoy him more as a baby since I wasn't as rushed to see him get bigger.  With Jake, I didn't know what to expect and had no clue what to do half the time.  I was anxious for him to grow because I hated the newborn stage.  With Cal, I knew what I was doing and more confident in my parenting skills.  I was able to enjoy his infant stage and appreciate all his baby cuteness.

Now he's ONE! We didn't do much for his birthday.  We just stayed home and had a visit from Dans parents. We got him a ball, a book, and a squirter for the pool.  Aunt Beth and Uncle Ben gave him a dump truck that sings and can be pulled by a string. My Inlaws gave him diapers, an outfit, a nap time cd, and a shape sorter.

He loved his cupcake!

Happy birthday sweet boy.  We are so glad you are a part of our lives.  We love you so much.  And thanks to everyone who helped him celebrate.
